Rachel Kim
Rachel is a Third Wave Development intern and a recent graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, where she majored in Ethnic Studies. Prior to Third Wave, she interned at the Audre Lorde Project in Brooklyn, NY. Some of Rachel’s academic and not-so-academic interests are Asian American youth subcultures, young adult fiction, and exploring the borough of Queens.
Money in Action
The Young Women’s Empowerment Project hires 5 youth staff! Beginning 2004, YWEP has been a grantee partner of the RHJI. With Third Wave’s financial and technical assistance support, the organization has made the leap to hire youth as staff as well as raise its budget significantly by leveraging Third Wave’s multi-year grant.
