Jessica Barclay-Strobel is the Program Associate for the Reproductive Health & Justice Initiative and Organizing & Advocacy Fund.
Jessica manages both funds’ research and development priority areas, leadership development programs, grants process, and grant committees. Since its launch in 2006, she also manages Third Wave’s national network of grassroots organizations to advance reproductive justice.
Prior to joining Third Wave, Jessica coordinated field operations for both the successful Congressional campaigns of Tim Bishop and EMILY’s List candidate Stephanie Herseth and Planned Parenthood’s 2004 single woman voter initiative. As a union organizer with S.E.I.U. Local 880, she mobilized workers to preserve hundreds of Illinois jobs. She has also worked with the Crossroads Foundation and designed and illustrated books about immigrants’ experiences in New York City’s public schools. Jessica currently serves on the Grants Advisory Committee of the New York Women’s Foundation, the New York Steering Committee of Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy, and the Local Candidates Committee of Citizens Union. She graduated summa cum laude from New York University.
